Under general pediatrics, our knowledgeable team of pediatricians is ever present to examine, diagnose, and treat common infection, injuries, illnesses and overall assessment of children from birth to 14 years. We ensure the overall well-being of our patients along with proper Immunization and vaccination.
Our state-of-the-art NICU is 24/7 available to provide best urgent care to newborn babies from birth to 28 days of age. We provide intensive care for low birth weight babies and premature babies that are born between 22 to 37 weeks. Apart from this, treatment of full term babies with congenital birth asphyxia are also taken care of.
We have OPD services that are given by a trained neonatologist to provide good preventive and treatment strategies for high risk babies who have had severe NICU courses. These babies are serially followed to identify earlier deviations of neuro developmental, nutritional or metabolic parameters and early interventions are also done.
Our Pediatric intensive care is equipped with all advanced machines to and trained pediatric doctors and nurses to provide clinical care services to babies. Convulsions /Status asthmaticus/ respiratory distress, post-operative care is given.
Patient with developmental delay cerebral palsy, epilepsy/Head Injury/Specific language delay/ mator delay is arranged and managed in this department.
Children assessed from not gaining weight/ weight loss/ not gaining height/ specific nutrition of deficiency /PEM assessed and nutrition advice given.
Children suffering from hepatitis/ chronic abdominal pain/ inflammatory diarrhea / bloody diarrhea/ wilson’s disease/ Portal hypertension are also managed.
Congenital condition related to a pediatric musculoskeletal condition like Developmental dysplasia of the hip/ CTEV (clubfoot) Limp/ stiches are managed.
Condition with antenatal Hydro nephrosis/ PUJ obstruction/ post urethral valve management and surgery done if required. Nephrotic syndrome / Post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis (PSGN) Hydronephrotic managed.
Short stature/ congenital thyroid disorder/other hormonal deficiencies are managed.
2D Echo / point of care 2D Echo done and structural anamolies/ congestive cardiac failure (CCF), identified and treated.
Various condition pneumonia/ARDS/ Bronchitis/ bronchitis asthma are treated.
Retinopathy of prematurity screening and treatment done at VRH. Squint/Refractive error managed. Excessive watering from eyes is managed.
Patient with chronic neurological disorder like cerebral palsy/ DMD (Duchene muscular dystrophy) given physiotherapy to avoid /meet specialty.
