More about MAEER’S MIT
Founded as an educational hub in the year 1983, the sole objective of MAEER was to establish a Centre of scientific and education research to meet the technological challenges of today and be a step ahead of the ever-changing needs of tomorrow. This solid foundation gave birth to Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), the flagship institute of the group and one of the first private engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
Since then, the MIT Group of Institutions has grown by leaps and bounds — as of today, it boasts of over ten campuses in Maharashtra spanning an area of almost 1000 acres. From engineering to medicine, pharmacy, marine engineering, insurance, distance education, telecom management, lighting, design to retail management, MBA, and even governance, the MIT Group covers everything you can imagine under the education umbrella.
At any given point of time, more than 50,000 students are pursuing various courses all over our 65+ institutes. With these statistics, the MIT Group is a big University by itself. The MAEER’s MIT Group already has three Universities under its fold. MIT Group today boasts of the best infrastructure facilities and application of varied teaching methodologies. With highly qualified and dedicated teachers, the group has grown leaps and bounds and will continue to do so looking for both horizontal and vertical growth patterns. Presently, we have more than 4,000 teaching staff and almost more than 6,000 non-teaching staff.
Since 1983, the MIT Group has expanded its horizon by introducing five new universities:
– MIT – WPU
– MIT – ADT
– MIT Avantika Indore
– MIT UTM Shillong
– MIT – WPU Visakhapatnam (Upcoming)
Going towards a brighter tomorrow, but staying true to its roots, MIT Pune has now transformed into MIT — World Peace University. The primary aim behind this was to promote a value-based universal education system by spreading the message of peace in society through science, technology and spirituality.
