Orthopaedics Problems

There are certain deformities and problems related to our musculoskeletal system. Some of these are:

1. Bone problems - The bone problems include bone deformities (a bone of abnormal size), bone infections (inflammation due to infection in a bone) and bone tumours (mass of abnormal cells growth). All these bone problems are caused by different reasons and may require different treatment based on the exact problem.
2. Fractures and its problems - A fracture is a condition in which a bone breaks partially or completely due to overuse, trauma or the weakening of the bone tissues. Even after treating fractures, sometimes other problems occur like Nonunions, in which a fracture fails to heal, and Malunions, in which fracture heals in the wrong way.
3. Spinal deformities - Spinal deformity is a condition in which there is an abnormality in the curve or the alignment of the spine. It can be caused by the complications due to last surgeries or from normal wear and tear overages.
4. Arthritis - It is a common condition where there is inflammation and tenderness in a joint causing pain and discomfort. There are different kinds of arthritis-like Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriatic arthritis. Different cases need different treatments like medications, physiotherapy or surgery in some cases.
5. Joint Dislocation - It is an injury in the joint that causes immobilization and deformity in the joint. This injury or dislocation of the joint forces that particular joint to force out from its normal or original position. This mostly happens after a fall, accident or sports injury.
