Thyroid काय आहे? (What is Thyroid)
थायरॉइड ही ग्रंथी आपल्या मानेच्या भागात असते आणि T3 आणि T4 होर्मोनेस निर्माण करते. T3 आणि T4 होर्मोनेसला नियमित करण्याचे काम TSH म्हणजे Thyroid Stimulating Hormone करते. शरीरातल्या अवयवांची कार्ये सुरळीत चालण्यासाठी T3 T4 होर्मोनेस आणि TSH म्हणजे Thyroid Stimulating Hormone ह्यात संतुलन असणे अतिशय महत्वच आहे.
Thyroid ची समस्या वाढण्याची कारण:
तणाव (stress) हा थायरॉइड ची समस्या वाढण्याचे प्रमुख कारण आहे. त्याच बरोबर थाइरोइड बद्दलची वाढती जागरूकता अणि लवकर होणारे निदान हे सुद्धा एक कारण आहे.
Thyroid चे निदान कसे केले जाते व थायरॉइड ची लक्षण के आहेत?
Thyroid ची टेस्ट साधारणता: मासिक पाळीची समस्या असणाऱ्या स्त्रियांमधे केली जाते. तसेच जेव्हा स्त्रियांमधे प्रेगनेंसी राहण्यास अडचणी येतात, तेव्हा सुद्धा Thyroid ची टेस्ट ही केली जाते. तसेच, ज्या जोडप्यांना pregnancy प्लान करायची असते, त्यांना सुद्धा Thyroid test करण्याचा सल्ला दिला जातो.
Thyroid संबंधित आजार
प्रामुख्याने, Hypothyroidism (Low Thyroid) आणि Hyperthyroidism (High Thyroid) असे Thyroid चे दोन आजार आहेत. Hypothyroidism मधे T3 आणि T4 होर्मोनेसचे प्रमाण कमी होत आणि TSH म्हणजे Thyroid Stimulating Hormone चे प्रमाण वाढत. तर, Hyperthyroidism मधे T3 आणि T4 होर्मोनेसचे प्रमाण वाढत आणि TSH चे प्रमाण कमी होत.

ह्या दोन्ही आजारांचा होणाऱ्या बाळावरती वाईट परिणाम होऊ शकतात. ज्यात प्रामुख्याने, गर्भातील बाळाच वजन न वाढण, बाळाची वाढ नीट न होण, तसेच लवकर डिलीवरी (premature delivery) करावी लागण, अशा समस्या उद्भावु शकतात. तसेच प्रेग्नेंट आईला High Blood Pressure सारख्या समस्या होऊ शकतात. जर प्रेगनेंसी मधे Thyroid वर उपचार नहीं केले तर, जन्माला येणाऱ्या बाळा सुद्धा Thyroid ची समस्या होऊ शकते. तसेच Hypothyroidism मुळे बाळाच्या मेंदूचा विकास सुद्धा खूंटू शकतो.
Thyroid Treatment In Pregnancy:
प्रेगनेंसी मधे दर ६ ते ८ आठवड्याला Thyroid test केली जाते. आणि त्यानुसार होणाऱ्या आईला सल्ला दिला जातो. Hypothyroidism हा सामान्यता: आढळणारा आजार आहे आणि त्याला औषधांद्वारे नियंत्रित केला जाऊ शकता. गरज पडल्यास Thyroid Treatment ही डिलीवरी नंतर ६ आठवड्या पर्यन्त सुरु ठेवली जाऊ शकते आणि आजार नियंत्रणात अलीवर बंद केली जाते.
